Evolving Chat: Lunch and Learn

The Art of the Intro

Have you ever had awkward moments where you have introduced yourself and spit out your business one liner so fast that the person’s head spins?

Are you a card pusher, shoving your card in their hands then flying to the next person and you forgot to even say your name?

Let’s slow down a little bit and learn to make a meaningful connection without a business card to the face.

Come join us for a wonderful Thai buffet lunch and hear some of the experts on The Art of introduction.

Our Esteemed Panel

Sandra Tisiot

Topic: Know who you are and What you Stand For, self-confidence is the Key.

Sandra was born in Hamilton, Ontario. After high school, her passion for dancing brought her to California where she fulfilled her childhood dreams by performing with various professional dance troupes. There she also received her BA in Dance and Business from the California State University of Long Beach. An unfortunate injury prevented her from continuing to dance professionally, but it didn’t dampen her spirits or her love for dancing and performing. Continuing her education back East in Washington DC, she ultimately received her MA from the American University.

Sandra’s talents have taken her to many cities throughout North America and around the world where she has achieved much acclaim for her skills and insight in writing and teaching in the Arts world and the business world.

Relocating to Ottawa Canada in the early 90s to be closer to family was yet another fortuitous step for Sandra. She has made an indelible mark in the financial sector in both the sales and management side of the mortgage industry by achieving top sales recognition with all four companies she worked with.

Sandra spends her spare time continuing her passion for dance and movement by teaching fitness classes, whether Barre or CoreFit classes. And, recently received her Level 1 certificate in bodyART fitness. She enjoys reading, writing, and spending quality time with her family and her friends.

By constantly thinking of new ways to help people, she created, MyLifeLocker, an organisational workbook where families can find peace-of-mind knowing all their life information is in one spot; and sold her rights in August of 2016. In 2015 she published her second book, The Year of Living Gratefully, to help teach her son the lessons of being grateful.

Sandra currently enjoys a relatively quiet life, still in the financial industry, but mostly with her pride-and-joy, her son Dante.

Sandra is also the co-founder of Suits-Me.ca, a charity that collects clothing for the Women’s Mental Health Program at The Royal in Ottawa. She raises funds for this cause through her annual Women In Business Conference where she brings in acclaimed speakers to inspire, motivate and nourish women in all aspects of their lives. 2017 she celebrated her 9th conference with a sold out crowd of 400 women.

Sandra is currently enrolled in a PhD program in Metaphysics at the University of Sedona where her gratitude journey continues.
